Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Parambikulam is during the dry season from October to May, when wildlife spotting is easier and the weather is pleasant. The reserve remains closed during the monsoon season (June to September).

Parambikulam is home to a wide variety of wildlife including Bengal tigers, Indian elephants, leopards, sloth bears, gaur (Indian bison), sambar deer, spotted deer, and many other species. The reserve is also rich in birdlife with over 250 species recorded. The diverse ecosystem includes tropical evergreen forests, semi-evergreen forests, and moist deciduous forests.

How to Reach from Pollachi

Parambikulam is approximately 90 kilometers from Pollachi. The journey takes about 2-3 hours through scenic routes.
